27th September 2026 Windsurfing: The Manor-Felixstowe Wind Direction: SE to S Wind Stength: 8/12 Surf / Sea State: lumpy Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods Max Speed: 10.91 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 6 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Sunday 27th September – Windsurf * The Manor at Felixstowe – sunny periods. Foil – 10.91 knot max, 8.13 knot ave., 0.25 knot hour, 0.00 knot mile, 9.71 km., 3.56 knot alpha. Starboard Freeride 150 and a Evolution Freeride foil with a Tushingham Bolt 6.5m. The forecast looked quite promising, starting SE then turning S around 15 knots, the only downside was high water was around 1 so I wanted to get out early so headed down to Squiz Lane at 9.15. There looked enough breeze to tempt me out with 6.5 but after one run out there was nowhere enough wind to get going:( I then spent hours hunginnng around waiting to the wind to pick up, three others went out around high water and managed to get going just with 8.5 but it didn’t look much fun. I was tempted out again with the tide now dropping but once again did not get flying so a pretty poor day:( Photo Album here |
